Viridian Exchange operates on a transparent model with no fixed membership, clearing, or hidden intermediary fees. Buyers and Sellers only pay a flat fee per executed trade, eliminating hidden costs.
The venue relies on fully segregated accounts and escrow protection. Assets and funds always remain legally yours, backed by institutional-grade safeguards and regulated governance frameworks from its parent organization, the AFS Group.
The exchange features an EUA Spot Market designed for immediate, “on the spot” settlement at prevailing real-time market prices. Once a trade executes instantly, the physical transfer of certificates is synchronized safely with the appropriate registries based on payment terms selected in the exchange. For GO deliveries are based on the forward structure selected.
Beyond its core secondary spot market for EU Emissions Allowances (EUAs), Viridian Exchange has expanded its scope to support the trading of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) for renewable energy.
Onboarding is a fully digital, multi-tiered process. A buyer can register a company name and website online to become a “view-only” client in under a minute to monitor live order books. Full trading access is achieved within minutes upon finishing standard digital KYC approval.
